Colored Cotton Blue Jeans Are In For Spring 2009

Spring is here and with summer around the corner it’s only appropriate to see some brighter colors make their debut. The jeans market also feels this way. I

never thought the days of colored jeans would ever return but they are in fact here. Genetic Denim’s lookbook features purple, tourquise and red jeans.

Other jean designers seem to be on the same page with releasing colored jeans as well.J brand Jeans has a new low rise pencil  jean available in “sea” which is a teal color.

Although these trends look fabulous on the models and they are a nice change to welcome the spring and summer months, it has me concerned on how long the actual trend will stick around. I just don’t quite see the longevity in a pair of red jeans since I think this is only a fad for ’09. I can see the white jeans being a big hit still since they have been fully accepted for the past few years but I have a problem with seeing red jeans everywhere. ‘m all for the the white, grey and khaki colored jeans. I just don’t see myself purchasing red anytime soon anyhow.
